Spectacular Trekking Adventure Cross Ngorongoro Crater From East Lake Eyasi To West Mt Oldonyo Lengai

DAY 1: AIRPORT-ARUSHA

Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport and drive to Arusha Point Zone Hotel for dinner and overnight

DAY 2: LAKE EYASI CULTURAL EXCURSION

After breakfast drive to Lake Eyasi, arrive at Lake Eyasi at 11.00am, have a lunch at 1.00pm. After lunch visit Barbeig and Datoga local people, experience their daily life and culture. Late evening you will see the cattle returning back from grazing and experience the barbeig woman cow milking and also see how the Barbaig tribesmen slaughter a goat and how they make African barbeque, and at the same time enjoy the Barbeg traditional dance. After barbeque, drive to Bush campsite for dinner and overnight. Campfire available.

DAY 3: LAKE EYASI LOCAL HUNTING WITH HADZABE BUSHMEN

Earlier in the morning at 4.00am have a cup of coffee or tea, then accompanied by Hadzabe Bushmen Guide proceed for local hunting with Hadzabe bushmen’s  around Lake Eyasi wooden bush land, to experience how the bush men hunting using local weapons e.g. arrows and clubs.  You will see how the bargeig tribesmen hunt the monkeys and small bucks like Thomson gazelles, monkeys etc, also you will view different wild fruits, roots, honey which is the bush men food.  Back for brunch at 11.00am, and then walk around Lake Eyasi till late evening walk back at the Bush camp for dinner and overnight. DAY 4: NGORONGORO NORTH HIGHLAND NATURAL FOREST

After breakfast accompanies with Maasai warriors guides and donkeys carry the drinking water, food and your luggage’s trek 6 to 7 hours, cross Ngorongoro Northern highland natural forest, enjoy hill walks and view different species of Flora and Fauna, and view the beautiful landscape of Lake Eyasi basing. Trekking through the forest you will enjoy viewing different species of plants and butterflies, birds, flowers etc, dinner and overnight under Magaruti Mountain at pillar wood camp. DAY 5: LEMAGARUTI CROSS NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After breakfast  accompanies with Maasai warriors and donkeys trek cross Ngorongoro Crater rim natural forest, via Malanja depression to Olbal-bal, on the way you will view wildlife e.g. giraffe, wildebeests, Thomson gazelles/ grants , Zebras etc and view different species of birds e.g. Ostriches,  tawny eagle, buzzards, secretary birds, eagles etc. Dinner and overnight at Olbal BAL bush camp. Campfire available.

DAY 6: OLBAL BAL TO LAYANAI

After breakfast accompanies with Maasai warriors and donkeys trek 6/7 hours to Layanai, following elephant trails, expecting to see Elephants, Buffaloes, small buck’s monkeys and different species of birds e.g. special birds like Jackson widowbird, golden winged sunbird, and different wild flowers. Dinner and overnight at Layanai forest camp. Campfire available.

DAY 8: EMBU MBUL – EMPAKAI CRATER

After breakfast proceed accompanied with Maasai warriors guides trek from Embu mbul depression to Empakai crater 3 to 4 hours, descend to Empakai crater have a lunch on the shore lake in the crater, walk around the crater floor and view the different species of birds e.g. Flamingoes and other water birds, on the way up you will see the monkeys, buffaloes, jackals etc, dinner and overnight at Empakai crater rim. DAY 9: EMPAKAI CRATER - NATRON

After breakfast accompanies with Maasai warriors guides  trek 6/7 hours through Great Rift Valley Escarpment to the base of Mt Ol Donyo Lengai “Maasai Mountain of God” still volcanic active. The car will pick you and drive to Ngarasero River camp, after lunch visit the Lake Natron to view the flock of Flamingoes and other species of water birds, late evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight. DAY 10: WATER FALLS

After breakfast walk  4/5 hours aside the Ngarasero river cross the river and view the  thundering water falls, swim in the deep water pool, then return to the camp for lunch and rest. At night Maasai warriors slaughter a goat and show you how they make the traditional barbeque at the same time enjoy the Maasai traditional dance and eat the barbeque, dinner and overnight at Ngarasero river camp. DAY 11: CLIMB VOLCANO ACTIVE 2878MT OL DONYO LENGAI “ MAASAI MOUNTAIN OF GOD”

Wake up at midnight hours, have a cup of coffee, pick your picnic lunch boxes, get to the car and drive to the starting point of climbing Mt Oldonyolengai- MAASAI MOUNTAIN OF GOD.  Maasai guides will guide you to Climb the Mountain of God , arrive to the summit 2878mt  and 5.30am enjoy the sunset and the  beautifully views of the Serengeti plains, Maasai plains, Mt.Kilimanjaro and Mt. Longido and enjoy the volcanic eruption, then walk 2 hours  down to  your car  and drive to the Kamakia campsite for lunch. After lunch drive back to Arusha.
